Real Belonging on a National Stage: Empowered with Meg Ryan

Chelsea Lovrekovic Aug 22, 2025 2:59:15 PM

We’re thrilled to officially share some exciting news: RoboKind and Cumberland Christian Community School's Beyond the Spectrum Institute are being featured on the national docuseries Empowered with Meg Ryan, spotlighting innovative partnerships transforming education for neurodiverse learners.

This feature is more than just a moment in the spotlight. It’s a celebration of a longstanding, mission-driven partnership. For years, CCCS has been leading the way in student-centered education, and we’re honored that RoboKind’s foundational learning tools have played a meaningful role in that journey.

But beyond the celebration, this moment offers something bigger: a chance to show the nation what true support for all learners can look like when done with heart, purpose, and the right tools.

Why This Moment Matters

In a time when belonging and accessibility are often talked about but rarely modeled in detail, this segment brings the concept to life. It doesn’t just showcase a curriculum. It shows a community making bold, compassionate choices every day to center the needs of neurodiverse learners. For RoboKind, this feature affirms what we’ve always believed: effective classrooms require intentional design, not generic tools.

As CCCS shares in the feature, their use of RoboKind’s curriculum allows them to meet each student where they are, building trust, engagement, and independence through multisensory, routine-based learning.

What’s at Stake

Many educators want to build classrooms that reach every learner, but they’re stretched thin, under-resourced, or unsure where to begin. What’s at stake is the opportunity to show that authentic support isn’t just possible. It’s practical, scalable, and deeply impactful when backed by tools that actually work.

This isn’t just a feel-good feature. It’s proof of concept for a better way to reach students who are too often overlooked. And it’s a call to other schools to stop waiting for the “perfect time” to shift and instead start where they are, with the right partners by their side.

"We’re deeply grateful to RoboKind, not only for the tools, but for truly understanding what real classroom transformation looks like in practice. They’ve been with us every step of the way." – Dr. Jessica Respus, Executive Director, CCCS

Where We Go From Here

This national recognition is a moment of pride, but also a moment of momentum. We hope it sparks conversation and action across schools, districts, and communities who are ready to rethink what’s possible.

We know this work isn’t just a program. It’s a promise, and we’re here to help keep it.

"When we think about the future of education, it starts with partnerships like this, where we work together to make sure every student feels connected, supported, and ready to learn." – Brian Baggs, CEO, RoboKind
