Houston County Board of Education Enhances Literacy and Social Growth in Three Schools
Houston County Schools in Alabama is enhancing its Pre‑K program under the Alabama Preschool Innovative Projects Grant to include RoboKind® Phonics and Social Skills delivered by Virtual Avatar Teaching Assistants in three schools.
This targeted implementation helps provide strong literacy foundations while also supporting students’ ability to collaborate, communicate, and regulate themselves. Teachers will have structured lesson plans, consistent practice tools, and data tracking to inform instruction.
“Houston County’s commitment through this grant gives us a chance to bring both literacy and social growth to early learners. Phonics and social skills together help create a classroom where children not only learn to read but learn to connect, express, and engage. We expect meaningful gains for students and teachers alike,” said Shauna Hedgepeth, Partnership Success Manager at RoboKind.
