Pre-K: Where the Foundation is Set

Most districts begin Phonics in Pre-K and early elementary classrooms. Students who build these foundations early enter kindergarten with literacy skills that compound across grade levels.

RoboKind ensures they leave Pre-K with early literacy rooted in the Science of Reading, foundational numeracy, communication skills, and self-regulation strategies that transfer throughout the school day.

 

I-VAKT™: The Technology Behind the Learning

At the center of every RoboKind program is I-VAKT™, an instructional approach delivered through Virtual Avatar Teaching. Social Skills is where most districts start. It incorporates 22 of 28 Evidence-Based Practices identified by the National Autism Center, gives students structured practice in communication, self regulation, and friendship skills, and requires no preparation from educators.

Since 2023, active students have more than doubled from 2,278 to 5,237, and active organizations have grown from 288 to 576. Across all active students, 43,166 lessons have been mastered. The growth reflects what teachers see in their classrooms: students who are regulated, communicative, and building skills that transfer across their school day.

  • Twenty-five organizations were using RoboKind Phonics in 2023. Today that number is 190, with 1,304 students actively building foundational literacy through structured, multisensory instruction aligned with the Science of Reading.

    The results appear quickly. Based on DIBELS Next data, students gain 96 letter sounds and 35 words within the first four weeks, and research shows students gain up to four reading levels within a program year. Of the 6,349 phonics lessons completed, 3,778 have been mastered — a 59% mastery rate across a wide range of nuerodiverse learners and grade levels.

    RoboKind Phonics incorporates I-VAKT™ strategies, aligned Scarborough’s Reading Rope and LETRS principles, and meets 16 of 28 National Autism Center Evidence-Based Practices.

RoboKind Numeracy is the newest program in the Full Foundations Suite. It is currently in 29 organizations with 125 active students, and it already carries the strongest mastery signal: 74% of completed lessons mastered.

Districts adding Numeracy are typically already using Social Skills or Phonics. The approach is familiar, implementation is straightforward, and the early results are compelling.
